The Six Claires
What are the Six Claires?
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard friends and family say to me, “I think I’m a little bit psychic.”
Allow me to let you in on a little secret…
We’re all psychic. It’s just about how well you tap into your psychic abilities.

There are various ways we can experience psychic and spiritual moments. Have you ever smelled the perfume of a family member who passed away and just knew they were present? Have you ever meditated and visualized something happening, and it eventually came true? Have you experienced déjà vu? We all have intuitive senses and have different ways of experiencing them. These are the six types of claire senses:
Clairvoyance: This is the ability to see with your mind’s eye, or third eye. You may see flashes, colors, images… for me it often is like seeing and revisiting a memory… but it could be from the past, present, or future. I often see images or scenes that are meaningful to me. For example, I might be meditating, and see my spirit animal, a rainbow, or a person with my third eye, and know it has a special meaning.
Clairaudience: This is the ability to hear. Some may actually hear a person’s voice, but others hear with their own voice in their mind. When I have clairaudient moments, I will hear my Highest Self speak to me with my own voice.
Clairsentience: This is the ability to feel. Sometimes when I’m with a client and I’m reading their energy, I can feel their anxiety, sadness, happiness, and experience the physical symptoms of their emotions.
Claircognizance: This is an inner knowing. Do you ever just know things, even though no one else told you? The information just pops into your mind, and you can feel it in your gut.
Clairgustance: Some people can taste something that isn’t even there. I can only recall one moment in my life where this happened and it’s very creepy. One time I tasted blood in my mouth, but I didn’t bite my cheek or tongue. My best friend turned to me and asked, “have you ever randomly tasted blood in your mouth?” She, too, tasted blood in her mouth at that exact moment, but neither of us were bleeding (WTF).
Clairalience: This is when you can smell something that isn’t there. I have had many people tell me they smell the fragrance associated with someone who has passed.
Which of the Claires resonates most with you? Do experience anything else when you’re using your intuitive senses? I typically overheat and sweat a lot (LOL), and I get a headache/ sensation of pressure in my third eye!
